About Us
The Jarrah Forest Lodge is a former Forestry Cadet Training School which is managed by the Forest Heritage Centre Inc (FHC); a volunteer, community-based not-for-profit organisation specialising in areas of Arts, Culture and the Environment. Located in the beautiful Jarrah forests of Dwellingup, the Jarrah Forest Lodge offers affordable accommodation including 2 wings of cadet rooms and 3 family rooms. All rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities (no ensuites), a communal kitchen and dining hall, a family recreation room, conference/meeting room and outdoor dining spaces.
FHC also trade as the Forest Discovery Centre, one of Dwellingup’s major attractions. The Centre has a vibrant history and was once home to the WA School of Fine Wood. Profits from the Jarrah Forest Lodge enables the organisation to support local artists and the wider Dwellingup community by providing maker space to run workshops and short courses.
We hope you enjoy your time at the Jarrah Forest Lodge and that you can share in the legacy of high spirits, fun, and community that the cadets have left behind.
